Can I stay in Jerantut instead of inside the park?

Yes. Jerantut town is about 45–60 minutes drive from Kuala Tahan. It’s a convenient option if rooms in the park are full.

1) Jungle Trekking – Bukit Teresek

A short, scenic rainforest walk to viewpoints.

Distance: about 3.4 km return (2–3 hours, easy→moderate)
Why it’s nice: cooling shade, big trees, river views; on clear days you may spot Gunung Tahan from the lookout.
Family-friendly tips: sports/hiking shoes with grip, water 1–1.5L, light snacks.

2) Canopy Walk (if open)

Walk safely on a series of hanging bridges above the treetops.

What you feel: a unique birds-eye view of the 130-million-year rainforest.
Family-friendly tips: follow ranger instructions, keep small groups on each bridge section.

3) Lunch at the Floating Restaurant (for RM170 package)

Simple, tasty local dishes by the river—fast service for groups so your schedule stays smooth.

4) Orang Asli (Batek) Village Visit
