Located in Kuala Tahan, Pahang, Taman Negara is known for its ancient tropical rainforest, believed to be around 130 million years in the making. It is an ideal destination for solo travellers, couples, families and groups who want to discover Malaysia beyond its cities and beaches.
Guests can choose between:
- Day Tour A: Canopy Walkway & Bukit Teresek
- Day Tour B: Tras Waterfall Adventure
The rates and itineraries below are effective from 1 July 2026 until the end of April 2027.
Day Tour A: Canopy Walkway & Bukit Teresek
Day Tour A combines several of Taman Negara’s most popular attractions in one complete programme.
The tour includes:
- Canopy Walkway
- Bukit Teresek jungle trekking
- Orang Asli village visit
- Fire-making demonstration
- Blowpipe demonstration
- Rapid shooting
- Lunch at a floating restaurant
Tour Itinerary
9:00 AM – Arrival and Meet Your Guide
Arrive at Kuala Tahan and meet your local guide.
Begin with an approximately 500-metre trek to the Canopy Walkway entrance.
Guests will then explore the approximately 980-metre-long Canopy Walkway, offering a unique opportunity to experience the rainforest above the forest floor.
After the Canopy Walkway, continue jungle trekking towards the Bukit Teresek viewpoint. The trekking distance is approximately 2.2 km.
The private tour then continues by boat to an Orang Asli village, where guests can watch traditional fire-making and blowpipe demonstrations.
The final activity is rapid shooting through the major river rapids.
Be prepared to get wet.
1:30 PM – Lunch
Return and enjoy lunch at a floating restaurant.
2:30 PM – Private Tour Ends
The private tour normally ends at approximately 2:30 PM.
SIC or Joined Tour Arrangement
For the SIC or joined tour, guests normally return for lunch after completing the jungle trek.
After lunch, the programme continues with:
- Boat trip
- Orang Asli village visit
- Traditional demonstrations
- Rapid shooting
The joined tour normally finishes at approximately 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
Important Canopy Walkway Information
Daily admission to the Canopy Walkway is limited to 350 visitors.
The Canopy Walkway is closed every Friday for maintenance.
Entry is subject to ticket availability on the actual day. The attraction may be replaced with Bukit Teresek trekking when:
- Tickets are sold out
- It is raining or drizzling
- The Park Ranger closes the attraction
- Conditions are considered unsafe
Canopy Walkway entry cannot be fully guaranteed because operations depend on daily capacity, weather and safety conditions.

Alternative Adventure: Tras Waterfall Day Tour
Active travellers may prefer the Tras Waterfall Adventure.
This tour includes:
- An 8.2 km jungle trek
- Swimming or showering at Tras Waterfall
- Orang Asli village visit
- Fire-making and blowpipe demonstrations
- Rapid shooting
The tour begins at 9:00 AM, with the jungle trek starting at approximately 9:30 AM. It normally finishes at around 4:00 PM.
